Why English

Why translate Polish videos into English?

Polish creators and companies translate their videos to reach customers across Europe and the English-speaking world beyond Poland's home market.

An English version takes your Polish video to the widest audience any one language reaches: about 1.5 billion people, most of whom speak English as a second language.

  • Creators taking a local-language channel global
  • Companies presenting to international customers and investors
  • Course creators selling beyond their home market

What changes from Polish to English

Coming from Polish

Polish word order is flexible because endings carry the grammar, so emphasis often sits at the end of the sentence. Translating whole sentences keeps that emphasis in English.

Your voice, in English

English speakers hear many accents every day, from Indian and Nigerian to Australian and American. A dub in your own cloned voice sounds like you speaking English, which keeps the personality your viewers came for.

Captions that help discovery

Your English subtitles arrive as SRT and VTT files. Upload them to YouTube as closed captions and your video becomes readable, and searchable, in the language most viewers share.

Compact, so rarely rushed

English packs a lot of meaning into each syllable: about 6.2 syllables a second, against about 7.8 in Spanish or Japanese, for similar information (Pellegrino et al., 2011). English dubs seldom need to hurry.

How it works

How to translate a Polish video to English

01

Add your Polish video

Upload a video file (up to 2 GB and 30 minutes) or paste a YouTube, TikTok or Instagram link. AutoDub recognises the Polish speech by itself.

02

Choose English

Pick English as the language to dub into and start. You can close the page; your dashboard shows when it is ready.

03

Watch, then download your English version

Most videos are ready in 5–15 minutes. Watch the dub in your dashboard, then download the HD MP4 in your own voice, lip-synced, and the English subtitles (SRT, VTT) with a plan or a one-time unlock.

From a YouTube link

Translate a Polish YouTube video to English

Paste the link of a Polish YouTube video, a vlog, a game devlog, a webinar or a cooking channel, and AutoDub hears the Polish by itself and makes an English version in the speaker's own voice, lip-synced, not a lektor reading over it. The English subtitles come as SRT and VTT files: add them to the Polish original as a second caption track, or publish the dubbed MP4 on an English channel. The original needs no captions.

Only dub videos you own or have the rights to use.

Polish to English video translation: questions

To translate a Polish video to English, upload the file to AutoDub or paste a YouTube, TikTok or Instagram link and choose English. No: English-speaking viewers rarely hear one. They know a single voice reading over the original mostly from news interviews and documentaries, while films and series reach them subtitled or fully dubbed. Poles search for an “ai lektor do filmu”; what AutoDub makes is a full dub instead, the Polish voice track replaced by English in your own cloned voice, lip-synced to your mouth, with English subtitles as SRT and VTT files.

Not by much. Polish carries its grammar in endings across seven cases and has no articles, so it uses fewer, longer words (najprawdopodobniej is “most likely”), while English needs more, shorter ones, and the two tend to balance out. Expect each English line to land close to its Polish length; the lips follow the English audio.

Those who already sell abroad. Polish game studios are the clearest case: exports bring in about 97% of the sector's revenue (PARP, The Game Industry of Poland, 2025 report), so trailers, devlogs and studio interviews mostly speak to players outside Poland. Software houses, online shops and YouTube channels that have outgrown about 43 million Polish speakers (Wikipedia, 2021 figure) are next: an English dub in the founder's own voice reaches buyers everywhere.

For the family around them. Polish is the most common main language after English in England and Wales, for about 612,000 people (ONS, Census 2021), and children who go to school in English, or a partner who never learned Polish, may follow English captions more easily. Add the English SRT or VTT file to your Polish original as a second caption track, and parents hear Polish while the others read English.

30, not 27: each video is billed by its own length, rounded up to the next full minute, so 4 minutes 30 seconds counts as 5. The Pro plan includes 30 minutes a month for $69; the Basic plan's 15 minutes ($39) would cover 3 of them. Your first video, up to 2 minutes, is free to try, for example a short welcome clip.

Usually in one form. Polish declines names, so Anna can be heard as Anny, Annie or Annę and Kowalski as Kowalskiego, and friends use diminutives such as Kasia for Katarzyna or Tomek for Tomasz. English uses one form, so the subtitles usually show the base form; a diminutive may stay as spoken. Where the spelling matters, for a company name or a speaker credit, check the SRT or VTT file before you add it to YouTube; the spoken English can't be changed.

Yes. AutoDub clones the voice of the Polish speaker for the English dub, lip-synced, and adds English subtitles as SRT and VTT files that you can upload to YouTube as captions.

Most videos are ready in 5–15 minutes. A video can be up to 30 minutes long, and you don't need to wait on the page: your dashboard shows when the English version is ready.

Your first video, up to 2 minutes, is free to try, no card needed: you watch the dub, and download it with a plan or a one-time unlock from $4.99. After that you pay by the minute of video, whatever the language: monthly plans start at $39, and subscribers can top up with minute packs from $25 for 10 minutes.

Yes. AutoDub works from the speech, not from captions: it recognises the Polish spoken in the video by itself, so the original needs no subtitles or closed captions, on YouTube or in a file you upload. TikTok and Instagram links work the same way.

AutoDub combines speech recognition, translation and voice cloning, and most everyday, educational and business videos come out ready to publish. Names, slang and specialist terms are the usual weak spots, so watch the English version once before you publish it.
