Why Hindi

Why translate Chinese videos into Hindi?

Chinese brands, manufacturers and creators translate their videos to reach buyers and viewers outside China, on YouTube and other international platforms.

Hindi is the third most spoken language in the world, with about 611 million speakers, and India is one of YouTube's largest audiences. A Hindi version opens the biggest market in South Asia to your videos, courses and products.

  • Edtech, coaching and course creators teaching Indian students
  • YouTubers and podcasters growing in North India
  • Brands and apps marketing to Hindi-speaking customers

What changes from Chinese to Hindi

Hindi with English words

Everyday Hindi borrows English freely (phone, online, course, app), and many viewers speak Hinglish, a mix of the two. Brand and product names usually stay in English, and viewers expect that.

Devanagari subtitles

Hindi subtitles come in Devanagari script, the way Hindi speakers read, as SRT and VTT files you can upload to YouTube or use in any player.

Aap, not tum

Hindi has a respectful aap and a familiar tum for 'you'. Speaking to an audience, aap is the norm; watch the first dub to confirm the tone suits your viewers.

Coming from Chinese

Mandarin carries a lot of meaning in each syllable and is spoken at about 5.2 syllables a second, compared with about 6.2 for English (Pellegrino et al., 2011). Translating whole sentences lets the English version read naturally rather than word for word.

How to translate a Chinese video to Hindi

In Hindi: “video ko hindi me translate kaise kare”

01

Add your Chinese video

Upload a video file (up to 2 GB and 30 minutes) or paste a YouTube, TikTok or Instagram link. AutoDub recognises the Chinese speech by itself.

02

03

Watch, then download your Hindi version

Most videos are ready in 5–15 minutes. Watch the dub in your dashboard, then download the HD MP4 in your own voice, lip-synced, and the Hindi subtitles (SRT, VTT) with a plan or a one-time unlock.

From a YouTube link

Translate a Chinese YouTube video to Hindi

Paste the link of your company's Mandarin YouTube video, a product demo, an installation guide or a factory tour, and AutoDub makes a Hindi version in the presenter's own voice, lip-synced, with Hindi subtitles in Devanagari as SRT and VTT files. Publish it on a channel for your Indian dealers and customers, or add the Hindi captions to the original. A video you host only on Douyin or Bilibili has to be exported and uploaded as a file.

Only dub videos you own or have the rights to use.

Chinese to Hindi video translation: questions

Updated .

To translate a Chinese video to Hindi, upload the file to AutoDub or paste a YouTube, TikTok or Instagram link and choose Hindi. AutoDub dubs it in your own voice, lip-synced, with Hindi subtitles as SRT and VTT files, and most videos are ready in 5–15 minutes. Your first video, up to 2 minutes, is free to try and watch; download it with a plan or a one-time unlock from $4.99.

Yes, as long as the video is yours. Upload the Chinese video or paste its YouTube, TikTok or Instagram link, choose Hindi and start: AutoDub recognises the Mandarin speech on its own and converts it into a Hindi dub in the presenter's voice, lip-synced. Written in Devanagari the question is किसी भी वीडियो को हिंदी में ट्रांसलेट कैसे करें. Your first video, up to 2 minutes, is free to try and watch.

The narration needs to be Mandarin (普通话): it is the Chinese AutoDub recognises, and Cantonese or a strong regional dialect is not what it is built for. Technical words are the usual weak spot. On an Indian shop floor people often say motor, sensor or wiring in English, and the translation may pick the English word or a Hindi one. There is no script editor, so let an Indian supervisor watch the Hindi dub before the training starts.

Not in the picture. AutoDub replaces the speech and syncs the lips; every Chinese character in the frame, a packaging label, a spec table or burned-in captions, stays as filmed. What Indian viewers get is the Hindi voice plus a separate subtitle file in Devanagari (देवनागरी), as SRT and VTT, which YouTube shows as captions. For text that matters, such as a price or a safety warning, add a Hindi or English overlay in your editor and dub that version.

Because India is one of its biggest customers: India imported goods worth about USD 131.6 billion from China in 2025–26, and China became India's largest trading partner (commerce ministry data, April 2026). The dealers, installers and service staff who sell and repair those products are often more at ease in Hindi, spoken by about 611 million people (Ethnologue, 2026), than in English.

30. Each video is rounded up to the next full minute, so 4 minutes 10 seconds counts as 5, and 6 of them use 30 minutes, which fits the Pro plan's 30 minutes a month for $69. Adding an English version of the same set for the rest of India makes it 60 minutes, the Premium plan's 60 ($129). Trimming each guide to under 4 minutes saves 6 minutes per language.

Choose Hindi for viewers in India and Urdu for Pakistan. Everyday spoken Hindi and Urdu are close, but formal vocabulary differs and they use different scripts (Devanagari and Nastaliq). AutoDub dubs into both, so you can publish one version for each audience.

Mandarin. AutoDub's Chinese is Mandarin (普通话), and it recognises Mandarin speech by itself, whether the speaker is from mainland China, Taiwan, Singapore or Malaysia. Cantonese (粤语) is not on AutoDub's language list, so a Cantonese video is not something AutoDub is built to dub.

Yes. AutoDub clones the voice of the person speaking in your video and uses it for the Hindi dub, so viewers hear you, with your tone and emotion, and the lips are synced to the new audio.

Yes. Every dub comes with Hindi subtitles as SRT and VTT files, in Devanagari (देवनागरी), written left to right. Upload them to YouTube as captions or use them in any player.

Most videos are ready in 5–15 minutes. A video can be up to 30 minutes long, and you don't need to wait on the page: your dashboard shows when the Hindi version is ready.

Your first video, up to 2 minutes, is free to try, no card needed: you watch the dub, and download it with a plan or a one-time unlock from $4.99. After that you pay by the minute of video, whatever the language: monthly plans start at $39, and subscribers can top up with minute packs from $25 for 10 minutes.

Yes. AutoDub works from the speech, not from captions: it recognises the Chinese spoken in the video by itself, so the original needs no subtitles or closed captions, on YouTube or in a file you upload. TikTok and Instagram links work the same way.

AutoDub combines speech recognition, translation and voice cloning, and most everyday, educational and business videos come out ready to publish. Names, slang and specialist terms are the usual weak spots, so watch the Hindi version once before you publish it.

Yes. AutoDub works in both directions: upload a Hindi video and choose Chinese as the language to dub into.
